Verdict: Weighing just 22 g, the Cannondale cycling computer handlebar mount is a sleek, lightweight accessory designed to securely hold your Garmin Edge computer (Explore, 200, 500, 510, 800, 810) on 31.8 mm handlebars (note: 31.8 mm handlebars are the modern standard diameter for most road, gravel, and mountain bikes).
Constructed from injection-moulded nylon reinforced with glass fibre, this mount feels solid despite its lightness. The inclusion of a stainless T25 bolt ensures a secure, corrosion-resistant fit, perfect for riders who train or commute in all weather. The finish is clean, purposeful, and built to last.
The mount uses Garmin’s standard ¼-turn twist-lock mechanism, allowing you to attach and remove your device in seconds. It provides a confident, tactile click when locked, keeping your computer steady even over rough roads or trails. There’s no need to overthink it: line up the tabs, twist 90 degrees, and you're good to go.
Compatibility is straightforward, it fits any 31.8 mm handlebar and is designed specifically for Garmin Edge models listed. Whether you’re riding an older Edge 500 or an 800 series, it’s a simple plug-and-play solution.
In use, the Cannondale mount performs reliably. There's no rattle or bounce, and the computer stays firmly in place during climbs, descents, or cobbled paths. The low-profile mount keeps the screen within your natural line of sight, which is ideal for both safety and efficiency.
This Cannondale mount nails the essentials: it's lightweight, durable, and uses a proven locking system that works. At just 22 g and priced affordably, it’s a sensible upgrade for any Garmin user who wants a clean, dependable handlebar setup. Whether you're racing, touring, or just commuting, it's a solid piece of kit that does its job without fuss.

The most notable things I like about it, aside from the price (c.£15), are:
It has a capacity of 0.75 litres, which is enough space to store your essential items such as a phone, keys, wallet, or energy bars, however I use mine for carrying a thin waterproof jacket and bulkier snacks on bikepacking expeditions, as it keeps it quickly accessible for when it inevitably starts to rain.
I’ve been using Fixplus straps since I started bikepacking in 2022 and now swear by them!
They come in many sizes and can be used to secure all kinds of items to the bike, or for holding heavy things together.
They work by having a small amount of stretch in the belt (but nowhere near enough to make it snap), which then pulls back against what you’re holding once you’ve found the correct hole for the belt.
They’re not waterproof and don’t claim to be, however they handle my sweaty heads for many months without complaint.
They’re highly affordable, coming in at under £40 (especially when compared to big brand name wireless in-ear headphones) and the sound quality is superb. I particularly like listening to podcasts and audio books when I head out on the gravel bike after a long day on the computer.
